Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Essential duties include conducting evaluations and treatments for speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, after receiving physician orders. The SLP screens new and existing residents, participates in facility meetings, and develops resident programs to promote optimal functioning.
They ensure compliance with infection control policies, maintain appropriate caseload scheduling, and provide staff education. The role involves professional conduct, communication, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and ASHA certification, with preferred SNF experience. Excellent communication, computer skills, and teamwork are required.
Pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with 1-16 hours weekly, offering benefits such as an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan.
