Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and providing speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.

  • Conduct evaluations and treatments for residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders.
  • Perform resident screenings within specified timeframes and participate in facility meetings, care planning, and staff education.
  • Develop programs to help residents achieve their optimal functioning and support facility certification standards.
  • Follow infection control policies, uphold residents’ rights, and manage caseload scheduling.
  • Communicate with the administrator regarding staffing needs and conduct staff in-services.
  • Maintain professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance.

  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are essential.

    Compensation ranges from $50.00 to $60.00 per hour, with an expected 1-16 hours weekly, flexible schedule, employee assistance, and retirement benefits. In-person work required.
