Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) plans, develops, and oversees speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, after physician orders.
  • Conducts screenings for new and existing residents, attends facility meetings, and collaborates on resident programs to promote optimal functioning.
  • Ensures compliance with infection control policies, residents’ rights, and certification standards.
  • Manages caseload scheduling, provides staff in-service education, and maintains professional conduct.
  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, and Asha certification. Preferred SNF experience and strong communication skills are required.
  • Pay ranges from $50-$60/hour, with 1-16 hours/week, offering benefits like flexible scheduling, retirement plans, and an employee assistance program.
