🩺 Locum Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Trauma & Critical Care

📍 Robbinsdale, Minnesota
🗓 May–July | Up to Full-Time Availability

🏥 Practice Overview

  • Primarily function as a Trauma Hospitalist Rounder

  • Occasional ED consults, trauma activations, and procedures

  • Opportunities for providers with surgical or trauma critical care experience

  • Average patient volume:

    • 10–14 non-ICU patients/day

    • ~6 ICU patients/day

    • 2–15 ED/admissions per 24 hours

👩‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to ED trauma alerts

  • Perform daily rounding and full inpatient management (no hospitalist service)

  • Facilitate ER admissions and discharges

  • Manage patients across all conditions as the attending APP

  • Follow established clinical guidelines and non-clinical tracking expectations

🛠️ Preferred Procedures (Not All Required)

  • Non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP)

  • Ventilator management

  • Chest tube insertion

  • Central & arterial line placement

  • Suturing minor lacerations

âś… Requirements

  • Board Certified: ACNP, AGNP, or PA-C

  • Active Minnesota License

  • ACLS, ATLS, PALS

  • DEA

  • NPDB Self-Query Report (pulled within 30 days of submission)

  • Minimum 1year inpatient APP experience, ideally in trauma, ICU, or orthopedics

  • Local providers preferred (mileage reimbursed)
