Job Description
This PRN Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner role in the Acute Care department involves providing direct patient care and supervising treatment for hospitalized patients.
Responsibilities include daily physician rounds, detailed admissions assessments, diagnosing and treating various conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely diagnostics and discharges, and educating patients.
Acts as a resource and role model for nursing staff, offering ongoing education and support.
Serves as a liaison among ED physicians, specialists, and primary care providers to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing, current RN licensure, IL Advanced Practice Nurse and Controlled Substance licenses, CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications, and at least 1 year of nurse practitioner experience.
Proficiencies in computer skills and electronic medical records are necessary, along with strong communication, independence, and understanding of medical terminology.
Pay ranges from $45.00 to $52.50 per hour, with benefits including an employee assistance program and retirement plan.
Must be willing to relocate to Pinckneyville, IL, prior to starting work.
