Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide services for children and adults.

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges related to their diagnosis or life situation.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using clinical social work interventions, including crisis, individual, marital, or family therapy.
  • Provide crisis intervention, emergency services, and participate in staff case conferences to coordinate care.
  • Maintain detailed case records, document assessments, interactions, and interventions, and ensure confidentiality.
  • Offer education to patients and families on adaptation and community resources, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of community agencies and provide consultative support within scope of practice.
  • This role requires some travel, and candidates must have a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or a related field, along with applicable licensure in Iowa.
