Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician for a correctional facility in Sacramento.
Provide comprehensive healthcare services, including episodic, chronic, dermatology, preventive care, and in-office procedures.
Manage urgent cases like trauma, fractures, chest pain, asthma, and overdoses, along with withdrawal protocols for new intakes with substance use disorders.
Offer ongoing treatment for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, HIV, and pulmonary illnesses, following national guidelines.
Qualifications include an unrestricted MD or DO license in California, board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, completed residency, and current CEUs. Prior correctional, urgent care, or ER experience is preferred.
Position can be full-time or per diem, with a pay rate of $185/hour. Professional liability insurance is provided at no cost. A referral bonus of $1,500 is available for physicians who complete 4 weeks on assignment. Located in Sacramento, CA, candidates must be able to commute or relocate before starting, with a willingness to travel 25%.
