Electrophysiology Physician

Join our dynamic medical team as an Electrophysiology (EP) Physician and play a vital role in advancing cardiac care through expert diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. This unique opportunity offers a blend of hospital-based procedures and outpatient clinic work, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patient lives while working in state-of-the-art facilities. With ongoing contract opportunities starting February 2, 2026, you will be integral to providing high-quality electrophysiology services, including advanced ablation procedures and comprehensive arrhythmia management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including heart rhythm disturbance management and ablations
  • Conduct TEEs, moderate sedation, and utilize Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system
  • Manage an adult patient population in a hospital and clinic setting, handling 20-22 patients daily
  • Support hospital consults with 3-4 cardiovascular cases per day
  • Document and review case logs with a minimum of 100 EP cases, focusing on ablations within the last 2 years
  • Work independently with moderate sedation and handle complex arrhythmia cases effectively
  • Ensure continuous adherence to safety, procedural protocols, and documentation standards

Required Skills:

  • Proven expertise in cardiac ablation procedures and electrophysiology techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to perform moderate sedation independently
  • Proficiency with Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced hospital environment

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with additional electrophysiology mapping technologies
  • Ability to perform TEE procedures
  • Previous experience working with Cerner EMR
  • Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology with a subspecialty in Electrophysiology
  • AZ medical license (or eligible for licensure)
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant EP experience, specifically in ablations and arrhythmia management
  • Current ACLS certification

Other Requirements:

  • Valid AZ DEA registration
  • Willingness to work shifts 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, including potential OT at 1.5x rate and holiday pay
  • Flexibility to meet credentialing within 30 days
  • Ability to perform procedures requiring moderate sedation and use advanced EP technology

Hourly Pay Rate: $407.55
