Job Description
The Rehab Speech and Language Pathologist provides clinical evaluation and direct patient care in an assigned facility, with administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, current state licensure, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of therapy techniques and accreditation standards.
Key responsibilities:
Screening, evaluating, and treating patients requiring speech therapy
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
Supervising staff and educating treatment team members
Participating in interdisciplinary and family meetings
Maintaining documentation, confidentiality, and billing accuracy
Contributing to team collaboration, safety, sanitation, and customer service
Ensuring resident rights are protected and adhering to facility policies
Performing physical tasks including patient transfers, mobility, and emergency evacuation assistance
Working with physically, emotionally, and cognitively compromised residents in a safe, compassionate manner
Demonstrating effective communication, attention, and sensory skills to promote safety and quality care.
Physical, emotional, cognitive, and sensory competencies are required, along with the ability to work independently, handle stress, and work in a stimulating environment. The position requires relocation to Leitchfield, KY, and offers a flexible schedule.
