About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Psychiatry MD in Georgetown, Delaware, 19947!

We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Psychiatrist for a full-time, on-site role in a well-established behavioral health setting. This is a permanent position offering a consistent Monday–Friday day schedule, with no weekends and no on-call responsibilities, providing an excellent work-life balance. The role involves managing adult inpatient psychiatric care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Manage an average daily census of approximately 18 patients
  • Treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions including mood, anxiety, psychotic, developmental, and personality disorders
  • Perform medication management and pharmacotherapy
  • Participate in treatment planning with clinical staff and advanced practice providers
  • Handle involuntary commitments in accordance with state regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation using the Wellsky EMR system

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday
  • Day shift only
  • No weekends
  • No on-call requirements

Skills

  • Strong inpatient psychiatry experience
  • Expertise in pharmacotherapy
  • Familiarity with involuntary commitment processes
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 0–5 years of residency) in Psychiatry
  • Active Delaware medical license or willingness to obtain
  • DEA certification (required prior to start)
  • CSR/CDS (required prior to start)
  • Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain
  • Permanent placement interest only (locums not accepted)
