Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our esteemed surgical team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to practice comprehensive cardiovascular surgical care in a collaborative environment committed to excellence and patient-centered outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert inpatient rounding for cardiovascular patients, ensuring optimal perioperative care and management.
• Conduct surgical consultations, developing personalized treatment plans for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform a wide range of cardiovascular procedures including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Thoracotomies, Lobectomies, Aortic Valve Replacements, and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs.
• Manage emergency room call coverage, providing critical urgent care services as needed.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of two experienced Cardiovascular Surgeons and three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Procedural Volume:
Approximately 90 surgeries and procedures per month, reflecting a high-volume, dynamic surgical practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with board certification in Cardiovascular Surgery or General Surgery with specialization.
• Valid medical license to practice in Louisiana or eligible for licensure.
• Demonstrated experience in performing complex cardiovascular procedures with proficiency in minimally invasive techniques and thoracic surgeries.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
