Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises Nurses & Medical Assistants, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Job Summary: Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living settings, including assessments, care plan development, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote healing.
Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, valid MD/DO license, wound care certification within 6 months, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, and ability to work independently. Must pass physical and TB tests.
Physical & Mental Requirements: Physically active, able to lift and assist patients, adaptable to various environments, capable of independent judgment, and managing stress.
Working Conditions & Travel: Field-based, travel required within the region, exposure to biohazards, with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Essential Functions: Conduct wound assessments, perform treatments, supervise staff, document care, coordinate with providers, adhere to safety and confidentiality policies, and educate patients and caregivers.
