Job Description
The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides routine care, ensuring the comfort and safety of Sisters by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other procedures within their scope of practice. They maintain a clean and safe environment, applying infection control, safety, and communication techniques, while respecting age-related needs.
Responsibilities include caring for Sisters as directed, supporting participation in spiritual and social activities, documenting physiological and cognitive data, and performing delegated tasks. CNAs utilize good stewardship of supplies, attend educational sessions, and assist with orientation of new staff and volunteers.
They must treat Sisters with respect, uphold confidentiality, and support their participation in care plans. Adherence to policies, participation in team meetings, and ongoing education are essential.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current Texas CNA certification, BLS certification, with gerontology experience preferred. The position is part-time, available across all shifts.
