Total Spine & Wellness LLC DBA Total Spine & Orthopedics has multiple openings for the position of Anesthesiologist, which requires a US or foreign equivalent M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) degree or related. The position further requires an Anesthesiology Certification. Duties: Oversee patient care before, during, and after anesthesia, promptly addressing any complications or adverse reactions. Maintain detailed records of anesthesia type, dosage, and the patient’s condition throughout the procedure. Ensure proper airway management and life support while assisting in emergency surgery preparation. Administer anesthesia or sedation through local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods during medical procedures. Evaluate patients by reviewing medical history, conducting exams, and utilizing diagnostic tests to assess surgical and procedural risks. Position patients on the operating table to optimize both their comfort and surgical access. Work closely with surgeons to coordinate the administration of anesthesia during operations. Determine when patients are stable enough to move to another ward or be discharged after outpatient surgery. Collaborate with medical teams to select the most appropriate anesthesia or sedation method for pain management. Request laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostics as needed. Educate medical students and staff on anesthesia techniques, potential complications, and emergency response procedures. Provide medical treatment, prescribe medications, and refer patients for surgical intervention when necessary. Manage anesthesiology services by integrating them with other medical functions and establishing protocols. Diagnose illnesses through examinations, test results, and patient reports. Supervise and direct the work of nurses, technicians, and other healthcare personnel. Conduct endoscopic and other minimally invasive techniques for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating pain and/or dysfunction related to spinal pathologies. Collaborate with other medical teams in resolving the indications, contraindications, and complications of endoscopic spine procedures. Conduct health education programs to promote disease prevention and overall wellness. Oversee the scheduling and upkeep of surgical suites, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and sterile environments. Engage in medical research to improve disease management, test new medications, and develop innovative medical techniques. Full time – 40 hrs./week. M-F. Job Location: Melbourne, Florida.
