Job Description

The school speech/language pathologist conducts assessments, diagnoses, and provides therapy for students with communication disabilities at one or more school sites.

They support both general and special education students through evaluation, intervention, consultation, and professional learning activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws such as FERPA, IDEA, NAC, and Section 504.

The role involves participating in MTSS/RtI processes, collaborating in IEP development, and assisting in determining student eligibility.

Services are tailored to student needs, considering cultural and language differences, assistive technology, and least restrictive environments. The position requires maintaining documentation, communicating effectively, and working collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
