Job Description
The Clinical Supervisor, under the direction of Nursing Leadership, manages shift operations and ensures nursing care safety and quality within a clinical department.
They utilize sound HR and budget principles to guide daily nursing services, support patient and family care through interdisciplinary collaboration, and supervise nursing staff while providing direct patient care when needed.
Demonstrating professionalism and excellence, they serve as a role model for clinical and service standards.
Requirements include a graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), current RN license in New Mexico, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS/NRP. Experience of 3 years is preferred. The role involves irregular hours, exposure to infectious diseases, and physical demands like prolonged standing and emergency response. The supervisor reports to Nursing Leadership and works in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
