Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS required)

Job Description

The Recreational Therapist provides comprehensive recreational therapy services, including assessments, treatment planning, and interventions, in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy and certification (CTRS), with training in Crisis Prevention Intervention within 30 days of hire.

Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating therapy programs, maintaining medical records, and ensuring patient safety and physical health.

Maintains professional communication, adheres to organizational policies, and participates in staff meetings.

Supervises students and volunteers, working under the Inpatient Coordinator.

Work environment: Clean, well-lit, with mobility around the unit and medical center.
