Job Description
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner reports to the Director of Nursing and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Job Summary: Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, including assessments, care planning, patient/caregiver education, and collaboration with healthcare teams to promote healing.
Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, active NP license, wound care certification within 6 months, and at least 2 years of relevant healthcare experience.
Physical & Mental Requirements: Requires physical effort, mobility, and sensory acuity; ability to work independently, make quick judgments, and handle stress.
Working Conditions: Field-based with travel, exposure to biohazards, requiring reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Essential Functions: Conducts wound assessments, administers treatments, supervises staff, documents patient interactions, coordinates care, and ensures compliance with safety and confidentiality policies.
Compensation & Benefits: $125,000 – $175,000 annually with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and flexible scheduling.
