Job Description
This full-time RN position involves assisting with administrative tasks, supervising staff, and delivering quality resident care. The role includes training, overseeing nursing activities, and stepping in as acting Director of Nursing when needed, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license and registration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care with leadership roles
- Knowledge of nursing practices, resident care, and facility regulations
- Strong communication, judgment, and decision-making skills
Key functions:
- Assess residents and develop care plans
- Provide emotional and physical support to residents
- Observe, document, and report resident conditions
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate services
- Ensure accurate medication administration and recordkeeping
- Participate in staff training and emergency response
