Job Description

The Substance Abuse Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to clients with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.

  • Conducts assessments and develops personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and teams.
  • Facilitates group sessions on relapse prevention, coping skills, trauma, and recovery.
  • Delivers individual and family counseling as appropriate.
  • Documents services accurately and ensures compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams and supports discharge planning.
  • Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations.
  • Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field, active Colorado licensure (e.g., MSW, LMHC), experience preferred, strong communication and organizational skills.
