Job Description
Provide healthcare services under the supervision of a physician. This will include diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services as delegated by a physician.
*Essential Job Duties:*
1. Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
2. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and blood work.
3. Identify, treat and manage chronic diseases.
4. Identify and manage risk factors.
5. Document accurate, legible and confidential medical information.
6. Perform Quality Care Screenings.
7. Maintain appropriate knowledge of Meaningful Use and documents accordingly.
8. Prescribe rehabilitation therapy.
9. Provide education to allow patients to make educated decisions regarding their healthcare.
10. Refer patients to other healthcare providers.
11. See patients in hospital as well as the office.
12. Prescribe medications as per the physician.
13. Provide medical care in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
14. All other duties as assigned.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
*Education:* Master’s Degree in Nursing; Certified Nurse Practitioner
*Experience:* At least one year as a Nurse Practitioner in a medical office practice; cardiology experience preferred.
*Licensure/Certification: *RN Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing, CPR Certification, Nurse Practitioner (NP) License
*Skills: *Above average communication skills and ability to relate effectively to the public and health care professionals.
*Working Conditions: *Pleasant inside environment; Light to moderate physical effort; Moderate mental concentration and stress; Subject to exposure to infectious conditions and minor hazards such as muscle sprains, cuts and bruises.
