The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.
They deliver patient education, coordinate care, and participate in staff development and training.
Core responsibilities include ensuring quality patient care, promoting safety, and supporting a team-oriented environment.
Requirements include an associate’s degree in respiratory therapy, current licenses and certifications (e.g., RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS), and 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
Skills needed are excellent communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and computer proficiency.
