Job Description

This position offers a _$1000 signing bonus_, paid with the first paycheck, contingent on remaining employed for one year.

*Job Purpose*

Provide alcohol and drug education, counseling, screening, intake, assessment, intervention, referral, and related services to qualified clients in individual and group settings under clinical supervision.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Deliver education, intervention, assessment, and counseling services within a substance abuse treatment program.
  • Maintain client files per confidentiality laws and agency policies.
  • Offer structured activities for clients and families, modeling healthy lifestyles and recovery practices.
  • Coordinate care with staff and external providers, manage emergencies, and ensure safety policies are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational, contractual, and ethical standards, including timely documentation and communication.
  • *Qualifications & Skills*

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience preferred.
  • Must be a registered counselor intern with supervision and planning to complete required practicum hours.
  • Strong communication, case management, and rapport-building skills; bilingual abilities preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and phone required.
  • *Compensation & Benefits*

    Salary ranges from $45,000 to $51,500 annually, with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
