Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with hospital medicine experience to join our healthcare team in Lake Charles, LA.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing independent age-appropriate history and physicals
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Prescribing treatments and modifying care plans
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and making referrals
• Providing patient and family education
• Maintaining accurate medical records and completing charts timely
• Staying current with clinical guidelines and licensure requirements
• Participating in clinic policies, CQI projects, administrative meetings, and after-hours call rotations

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing and nurse practitioner program
• Minimum 5 years of NP experience
• Licensed in Louisiana
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations; preferred HIV/STI experience
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with EHR and MS Office
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
