Job Description

This full-time position involves practicing medicine under physician supervision, including conducting examinations and prescribing medications.

Within the physician–APP relationship, the APP exercises autonomy in medical decision-making and provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services across primary care areas such as family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and surgical specialties.

The role includes responsibilities in education, research, and administration. As a Hospitalist APP, duties focus on high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care in collaboration with hospitalist physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

The APP manages virtual care for acutely ill hospitalized patients, including admissions, inpatient management, care coordination, and discharge planning.

Qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medical record documentation. Skills involve data analysis, patient evaluation, and care plan development.

Abilities required are understanding complex medical info, independent decision-making, effective collaboration, patient education, manual dexterity, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Minimum education includes a Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited PA or APRN program.

Preferred experience includes 1-2 years in inpatient or hospital medicine, with new graduates considered.
