*About the Position:*

Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, the Clinician provides direct client care, including counseling assistance to individuals with substance abuse disorders. The Clinician collaborates with the clinical team in diagnosis and case management, applying specialized knowledge of human development behaviors, social, economic, and cultural systems to directly assist individuals, families, and groups in improving or restoring their capacity for social functioning.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

* Assess client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences; formulate a diagnostic impression based on current DSM criteria; and, in conjunction with the client/family, develop a workable plan for treatment.
* Perform admission and psycho-social assessments and referrals for all conditions in need of consultation.
* Investigate case situations and present information to members of the clinical team on the client’s family and social background pertinent to diagnosis and treatment.
* Manage assigned caseload, documenting client’s progress in individual notes and group therapy notes.
* Select an appropriate approach to use in individual therapy, such as directive, non-directive, and supportive therapy, and plan the frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
* Provide family therapy sessions and evaluations as needed.
* Complete treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other chart-related documents and correspondence for assigned clients in a timely manner.
* Provide skill-building psycho-educational and/or support groups.
* Work cooperatively with other community resources and referral sources to coordinate services for clients.
* Strive to increase professional growth and effectiveness through training and by keeping abreast of current trends and theories in relevant areas.
* Provide crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary.
* Maintain appropriate state license/registration/certification for the scope of practice.
* Participate in Wisconsin Recovery Institute’s backup rotation coverage for after-hours, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

*Education/Experience:*

* LMFT, AMFT, LCSW, ACSW, LPC,
* Current CPR and First Aid certificate
* Valid Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
