Job Description
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP), supervised by the CMO, provides specialized wound care to patients at home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.
They perform assessments, develop care plans, and educate patients and caregivers to promote healing. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing documentation, and coordinating with healthcare teams. Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, active licensure, at least 2 years of clinical experience, and wound care certification within 6 months. The role requires physical effort, field-based travel, and adherence to safety protocols, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Essential functions encompass wound assessment, treatment, supervision, documentation, and collaboration, with a focus on infection control and patient safety.
