Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises Nurses & Medical Assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, focusing on chronic wounds, pressure injuries, and surgical wounds. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients and caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, current MD/DO licensure, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Wound Care Certification is obtained within 6 months. Must have physical endurance, strong assessment skills, and the ability to work independently. Travel to patient sites within the region is necessary. Responsibilities include wound evaluation, treatment implementation, supervision of staff, documentation, and adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols.
