Job Description

The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises Nurses & Medical Assistants.

  • Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, focusing on chronic wounds, pressure injuries, and surgical wounds.
  • Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients and caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing.
  • Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, current MD/DO licensure, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Wound Care Certification is obtained within 6 months.
  • Must have physical endurance, strong assessment skills, and the ability to work independently. Travel to patient sites within the region is necessary.
  • Responsibilities include wound evaluation, treatment implementation, supervision of staff, documentation, and adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols.
