Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the Chief Medical Officer and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
This field-based role involves delivering specialized wound care to patients in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Responsibilities include assessments, developing care plans, patient and caregiver education, and collaborating with healthcare teams to promote healing.
Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner, state licensure, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Certification in Wound Care is required within 6 months.
Must have physical stamina, good judgment, and strong assessment skills. The position requires travel (up to 25%), a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
Key duties encompass wound evaluation, treatment, supervision of staff, documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and patient care coordination. The role demands excellent communication, adaptability, and compliance with HIPAA and infection control policies.
