Job Description
The Licensed Social Worker provides direct client contact to certify treatment eligibility and deliver psychotherapy for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Conduct screenings, intake interviews, individual and group counseling, and family counseling related to addiction.
- Perform assessments, diagnostic impressions, and participate in treatment planning.
- Offer psycho-education, crisis intervention, client education, and coordinate referrals.
- Manage caseload documentation and maintain compliance with record-keeping standards.
Note: Clinical supervision is not permitted.
Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Social Work, NYS licensure (LMSW preferred), minimum two years’ experience in substance abuse treatment, and completion of specialized training within three months of hire. The role is full-time with a salary of $60,000–$65,000 and benefits such as 401(k), health, dental, vision insurance, and paid time off. The position involves in-person work.
