The Clinical Nurse provides competent, patient-centered care in a hospital setting, adhering to professional standards. Responsibilities include:


  • Participating in patient and family education, assessing learning needs, and promoting understanding.
  • Evaluating care outcomes and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
  • Managing complex patient needs, performing bedside testing, and prioritizing care delivery.
  • Developing professional growth goals, contributing to team and quality improvement efforts, and promoting safety.
  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, identifying discharge planning needs, and fostering family advocacy.
  • Collaborating on care planning, addressing cultural considerations, and prioritizing tasks for complex cases.
  • Engaging with current research to inform practice and improve patient outcomes.


    Requirements include a nursing degree, North Carolina RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience. This position is part-time, onsite, and day-shift, supporting community health initiatives within a supportive, inclusive environment.
