Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room Supervisor / Charge Nurse

Job Description

Seeking an experienced OR Nurse Supervisor in the Suffolk area to oversee surgical team operations across various specialties including Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and ENT.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, medication management, clinical staff education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Most procedures involve general anesthesia or conscious sedation. The role offers a full-time schedule with no call, weekends, nights, or holidays.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of OR circulating nurse experience in an acute care hospital or ASC
• At least 2 years of nursing supervision in OR, ICU, or ER
• Preferred: 4 years as OR nurse supervisor, experience with EMR systems, CNOR certification, BSN or equivalent
• Current RN license, ACLS/PALS certifications, and VA licensure required
