Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor – Pediatric Step Down

Job Description

Seeking a full-time RN Unit Supervisor for a 22-bed Pediatric Step Down Unit at a children’s hospital in Falls Church, VA.

Our unit cares for intermediate patients with renal diagnoses, high flow, and medical/surgical conditions requiring step-down care, with nurse ratios of 3:1 and 4:1.

The RN Unit Supervisor acts as a frontline leader, ensuring quality care, supporting shared governance, and fostering team engagement through recognition, coaching, and mentorship.

**Requirements:**
– Minimum 1-year pediatric RN experience, charge nurse/preceptor preferred
– BLS certification; PALS preferred
– RN licensure in VA or eligibility
– BSN required; ADN candidates within 1 year of completing BSN
– Completion of charge nurse workshop within 90 days

**Schedule:** 12-hour shifts, rotating, weekends as needed. Pay ranges from $43-$73/hr.

**Location:** In person in Falls Church, VA; relocation preferred.
