Job Description
The Clinical Supervisor collaborates with Nursing Leadership to oversee shift operations and ensure nursing care quality and safety.
They utilize sound human resource and budget principles to guide daily nursing services and support patient and family-centered care through effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, providing patient care when necessary, coaching employees, and modeling professionalism and clinical excellence.
Requirements include a graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), current RN license in New Mexico, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS/NRP, TNCC, and CPI within specified timeframes.
Preferred experience is 3 years. The role involves irregular hours, exposure to infectious diseases and emergencies, and requires physical ability to handle emergency situations, prolonged standing, and patient or equipment transfers.
Knowledge of infection control, patient care skills appropriate to patient age, and good body mechanics are essential.
