Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Job Summary: Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living settings, performing assessments, developing care plans, educating patients, and working with healthcare professionals to promote healing.
Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral nursing degree, current MD/DO license, wound care certification within 6 months, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, and ability to work independently.
Physical & Mental Requirements: Includes physical effort, travel, and adaptability to various environments; must possess good judgment, emotional stability, and interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions: Regular wound assessments, treatments, supervision of staff, documentation, adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols, coordination with care team, and patient education.
Work Conditions: Field-based role requiring travel, exposure to biohazards, and reliable transportation.
