The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO/NP) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Job Summary:
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients and caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams. Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, licensed MD/DO. At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience. Complete Wound Care Certification within 6 months. Physical & Mental Requirements: Requires significant physical effort, including lifting and mobility tasks. Must work independently, make quick judgments, and handle emotional stress. Work Conditions: Field-based role involving travel to patient sites. Exposure to biohazards and infectious materials, with adherence to safety protocols. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Core Duties: Reassess wounds, perform treatments, supervise staff, and document patient interactions. Coordinate care plans, follow infection control policies, and participate in team meetings. Maintain advanced wound care knowledge and excellent communication skills.
