The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living settings. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients/caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral Nursing degree, active license, wound care certification within 6 months, and minimum 2 years of experience. Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility tasks, and possess a valid driver’s license. Works independently, making quick judgments, and managing time efficiently while adhering to safety and confidentiality protocols. Involves travel (up to 25%) and exposure to biohazards.
