Job Description

The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) reports to the Director of Nursing and supervises nurses and medical assistants.

  • Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing home, and assisted living settings, including assessments, care planning, and patient education.
  • Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, current NP license, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility, and possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Performs wound treatments, supervises staff, documents care, and collaborates with healthcare teams. Must follow safety protocols and confidentiality regulations.
  • Requires strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills, with adaptability to various environments.
