Job Description
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) reports to the Director of Nursing and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing home, and assisted living settings, including assessments, care planning, and patient education. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, current NP license, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is preferred. Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility, and possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Performs wound treatments, supervises staff, documents care, and collaborates with healthcare teams. Must follow safety protocols and confidentiality regulations. Requires strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills, with adaptability to various environments.
