Job Description

The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner reports to the Director of Nursing and supervises nurses and medical assistants.

They provide specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, conducting assessments, developing care plans, educating patients/caregivers, and collaborating with healthcare teams to promote healing.

Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, current NP licensure, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and wound care certification within 6 months.

Physical and mental demands involve mobility, strength, independent judgment, and emotional stability. The role requires travel, reliable transportation, and adherence to safety protocols.
