As a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant at Xcel Healing you will play a vital role in delivering specialized care for patients with complex wound needs. This position is essential in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and contributes significantly to our mission of promoting independence and quality of life.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wound care needs.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on best practices.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
* Educate patients and families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in wound care management.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care.
*Qualifications*
* Master’s degree with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
* Current Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license in Ohio.
* Certification in wound care preferred.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, geriatrics, and infection control practices.
* Experience in primary care or outpatient settings is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
* Ability to utilize electronic health records systems; familiarity with Point Click Care a plus.
