Locum Physician (MD/DO) – Surgery – General/Other in Asheville, NC

Job Description

Seeking a General Surgery MD for a temporary locum position in Asheville, NC, with a 3-week contract starting ASAP.

Location: Asheville, NC at 509 Biltmore Ave.
Pay: Competitive weekly, with travel and lodging provided if needed.
Schedule: Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Thursday, with full-time or part-time options (3 or 4 days/week).
Responsibilities: Non-operative role involving rounding, patient consults, and post-operative care, primarily supporting emergency general surgery patients.
Requirements: NC license and NC DEA are mandatory. Experience with acute surgical conditions preferred.
Support Staff: Attending surgeon, PGY 4/5 resident, PGY 1/2 resident.
