Job Description
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide psychosocial assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients, including crisis, individual, marital, and family therapies.
Conduct assessments to identify emotional, social, and environmental issues related to diagnosis or life situations. Implement therapeutic interventions and crisis services as needed. Collaborate with team members and community resources to optimize patient care. Document assessments, interventions, and maintain confidentiality per standards. Educate patients and families on managing diagnoses and treatments. Maintain records and liaise with community agencies. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field and licensure (LMHC, LMSW, etc.) in Iowa. Benefits offered include health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), loan forgiveness, paid time off, and more.
