Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist provides comprehensive speech, language, swallowing, and hearing evaluations and treatments for all age groups within the Special Education services Program.
Demonstrates expertise in language development, assessment, and intervention strategies.
Develops classroom and home adaptations, models developmentally appropriate practices, and prepares therapy sessions aligned with children’s IEP goals.
Provides direct speech therapy, conducts evaluations, and recommends appropriate modifications to support children’s independence and inclusive participation.
Communicates effectively with children, families, and staff, and offers training on communication devices and at-home activities.
Collaborates with educational teams, participates in meetings, and supports transitions between learning environments.
Travels to community sites for services, maintains accurate documentation, and supervises CFY candidates.
Engages in ongoing professional development and committee participation, and performs additional tasks as needed in a team-oriented environment.
