Neuro Critical Care – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Neuro Critical Care (NCC) team at a medical center in Toledo, Ohio. This full-time, nocturnist role offers a 12-hour night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) providing inpatient NCC services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive handoffs, collaborating with neurology residents and multidisciplinary teams, managing neurosurgery consults, partnering with physicians on complex cases, and mentoring residents. The role involves coordinating care across neurology, neurosurgery, and stroke departments.

Qualifications include current Ohio licensure as an APN or PA, certification by a recognized organization, BLS and ACLS certifications, and ideally, 2+ years of clinical experience. Candidates should have prescriptive authority eligibility and strong clinical judgment.
