Job Description

*JOB TITLE: *Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with Pediatric Experience

*REPORTS TO:* Medical Director & Clinic Directors

*GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:*

* Evaluate, diagnose, and treat persons with mental disorders.
* Completes the history of the present illness and review past histories and social work evaluations
* Interview patients to obtain insight into their problems.
* Make referrals for further diagnostic psychological or medical testing as needed.
* Prescribes psychiatric medication when needed.
* Observes and differentiates between signs and symptoms associated with normal human physiology and those indicative of pathological changes.
* Maintains continuity of care by regular patient follow-up.
* Consults with collaborating physician and other members of the patient care team to establish plan of care.
* Monitors patient outcome in accordance to the practice protocols.
* Maintains compliance with Article 31 documentation requirements and agency policies and procedures.
* Provide intramuscular injections as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*

* Graduated from approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
* Licensed Psychiatric NP in NY State.
* Experience and willingness to work with children as well as adults.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $85.00 per hour
