Job Description

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team providing comprehensive care to homeless individuals in the community, including street and subway dwellers.

The multi-disciplinary team includes a Team leader, Licensed Clinicians, Care Managers, and Peer Specialists, utilizing a person-centered, harm reduction approach grounded in evidence-based Critical Time Intervention.

Responsibilities include street outreach, coordinating needs pre- and post-housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare disparities.

The role involves fieldwork, periodic on-call shifts, and flexible hours, with ongoing support for participants after housing placement to promote stability and independence.

Minimum requirements include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with experience or plans to work with homeless populations. Travel across three counties is required, and relocation to Norwich, NY, is necessary before starting.

This full-time position offers benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and flexible scheduling, with a pay range of $32-$34 per hour.
