Job Description

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative SOS team providing comprehensive support to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals in the community.

  • They will conduct street outreach, coordinate needs before and after housing, and assist with daily living skills.
  • Provide supportive counseling, advocate against discrimination and healthcare inequities, and promote person-centered, harm reduction, and flexible approaches.
  • Follow participants post-housing to ensure stability and wellbeing.

  • The role involves fieldwork, on-call hours, and flexible scheduling, with travel across three counties.

    Minimum requirements include a master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with MSW candidates considered if planning licensure and experienced with homeless populations.

    Compensation ranges from $32-$34/hour, with full benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

    Relocation to Norwich, NY, is required before start.
