Hubbard Day is hiring at its new campus in Rocky Hill, a suburb of Hartford, Connecticut. We are a State Approved Private Special Needs School for children with Autism and related neurological differences, and we are looking for enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologists who want to work with special needs students. *Responsibilities include:*
* Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding assessment, interventions and therapy services
* Analyze and interpret assessment results, and share them with staff and parents
* Prepare written assessment reports for each student evaluated as well as writing Speech and Language goals for the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) based on assessment results
* Implement appropriate therapy using research-based interventions
* Evaluate oral motor and feeding skills and recommend appropriate treatment plans in conjunction with parents
* Provide parent education and training
* Work collaboratively with each student’s team to create and deliver services to students individually or in small groups across school, community and vocational settings
* Document student performance and complete daily session notes for Medicaid documentation for districts
* Enter services and goals and objectives into SEDS subsequent to meeting with parents to discuss their future goals for the upcoming year.
* Supervise SLPAs and CFs as needed
*Experience and Skill:*
* Experience working with students with autism and related disorders
* Familiarity or experience with motor-based learning approaches for students with apraxia
* Competence in use, programming and training staff in the use of AAC and assistive technology
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
