Job Description

*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Management Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of pain management techniques, patient assessment, and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans. The Pain Management Physician will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and improve overall health outcomes.

*Responsibilities*

* ·Examines patient, reviews medical history, conducts thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to make preliminary diagnosis related to pain.
* Develops a plan with non-pharmacological, pharmacological, and psychiatric interventions for pain management addressing and treating the underlying causes of the pain to the extent possible.
* Develop and implement effective pain management strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
* Perform interventional procedures related to pain management, including but not limited to nerve blocks, radio frequency ablation, spinal cord stimulators, peripheral nerve stimulators, dorsal root ganglion stimulators, basivertebral nerve ablation, interspinous process (ISP) spacers, SI joint injections, SI joint fusion, minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD), and kyphoplasty.
* Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding lifestyle modifications that can alleviate pain.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in pain management techniques and treatments.
* Adhere to company guidelines and complete all required training.
* Work in partnership with corporate leadership and mid-level care practitioners.
* Support development of corporate policies, standards, and guidelines (ex. operating procedures, quality control and assurance, educational programs, and service lines).
* Support training and development of mid-level care practitioners (ex. discussing and intervening, as appropriate, with healthcare practitioners regarding medical care that is inconsistent with current standards of care).

*Required Qualifications:*

* MD/DO Colorado State License
* Colorado DEA License
* Board certified in PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation), Anesthesiology, or Occupational Medicine.
* Board certified in Pain Management and/or Sports Medicine preferred.

*Required Experience and Skills:*

* Knowledge and experience with advanced interventional procedures for pain management including but not limited to nerve blocks, radio frequency ablation, spinal cord stimulators, peripheral nerve stimulators, dorsal root ganglion stimulators, basivertebral nerve ablation, interspinous process (ISP) spacers, SI joint injections, SI joint fusion, minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD), and kyphoplasty.
* Knowledge of opiate and non-opiate medications for pain management.
* Knowledge of federal and state regulations dictating practice.
* Exhibits behavior that is courteous, compassionate, empathetic, friendly, polite, and respectful towards patients, patients’ family, nurses, physicians, and co-workers and extends self to make patients, and other members of the healthcare team feel welcome and valued.
* Critical thinking skills (deductive and inductive reasoning) with an ability to identify and anticipate risks.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Listening skills and perceptiveness.
* Ability to remain calm under stress.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $400,000.00 – $450,000.00 per year
