*Internal Medicine Physician (MD or DO) – 1099 Independent Contractor*

A leading eating disorder treatment provider is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician (MD or DO) licensed in California to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is a 1099 contractor position providing in-person medical care to clients at our Monterey residential treatment center.

*About the Role:*
The Internal Medicine Physician will support two residential facilities, providing high-quality, collaborative medical care as part of a broader clinical team. Responsibilities include:

* Conducting initial medical assessments and regular follow-up visits
* Participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning
* Ordering and interpreting labs, managing medications, and addressing medical issues
* Providing clinical support to psychiatrists and nursing staff
* Completing timely documentation in the electronic health record
* Being available for emergencies or urgent consultations during scheduled days
* Participating in medical rounds and collaborating with leadership to support client care

*What We’re Looking For:*

* MD or DO with a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in California
* Active DEA registration
* Experience working with eating disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, or in behavioral health settings preferred
* Ability to travel to both Monterey and Santa Barbara locations twice per month
* Professional liability insurance required
* Strong documentation and communication skills
* Compassionate, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to whole-person care

*Compensation:*

* $250 per initial visit
* $125 per follow-up visit
* $1,500 monthly administrative stipend per facility

This is an on-site role with no virtual component.
